Absolutely beautiful. I haven't sobbed this hard because of a book in a long time. It's our beloved story of woman meets dark fae man in the forest and makes a bargain that she definitely shouldnt but it has the dark tinge that a lot of authors don't dare to give their stories. The Leszy is what we all wished Tamlin from Acotar could have been, honestly. I love the writing style, the folklore that is not your typical fae and yet so familiar... An absolute must read for anyone who loves dark fairytales with a bittersweet taste that leaves you wanting for more while also hysterically sobbing. I can't wait to read more books by Ania Poranek.

The characters (and their romance) felt flat. Didnt always see how mc went from point a to point b. Managed to feel both rushed and slow. The ending was decent. Overall this book was just boring to me.

This book has been such a vibe with it's polish folklore. The author's writing had a way of bringing everything to life inside my mind which I really appreciate. It can be hard to imagine scenes in books at times, and she was perfectly descriptive without overdoing it. The MFC was naive and childlike at first but seemed to grow into herself and her role. Always love character development. The ending was initially sad but once I made it to the epilogue, my heart fluttered with hope and curiosity.

I adored this mix of Polish Folklore, Beauty and the Beast, and Howl's Moving Castle. It has the perfect found family vibes. My only complaint is how fast everything happens in universe time. All that happened in
four months. That's a wild four months.
Loved the narrator for the audiobook too.
