Now this is probably my favourite volume so far (although each one gets better and better so it's to be expected!). This time we get a look at Jonah's backstory, which I loved. A jock boyfriend, a homophobic dad, a murder.

Then we get the inevitable fight between Jonah and Esh that I feel has been building from the beginning. It's good to get it out! As long as they get back together.

Speaking of, Jonah has decided to go off and solve he case by himself. Nothing will go wrong! Right?

Also, PUNK JONAH, PUNK JONAH, PUNK JONAH.

"Civilian is an officer's significant other."

This volume is everything to me. It's got the spooks, the drama, the terror, the dread, everything. We get a conclusion the case, but not a conclusion to all the spooks that have been taking place with Esh. There's more to come and I cannot wait for the final round-up.

I adore these two and their backstories, their relationship. Can't recommend this series enough!
