This was very funny, and very sweet. The first third was excellent overall, but unfortunately the rest of the book didn’t live up to that promise.
It was frustratingly repetitive. Any time a character would think something, they’d then say it, or someone else would. Then generally it was restated by someone else. The same issues kept being raised and discussed over and over. The action was fun, but the last section of the book was all sex, no plot. I didn’t find there to be much emotional or character development.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrators were fantastic, which made it worth pushing through.

I have read this book in both Digital and Audiobook forms and both options were highly entertaining. The three characters in this book are so distint and full of their own personalities that when they come together each of them shine in their own right.
Bel has insecurities and a big sense of responsibility, Nico has massive energy and enthusiasm, and Garen has a huge protective streak and patience. These all work together to create a cohesive team for their job and a cohesive partnership within ther personal lives and budding relationship. When they all come together is is amazing in it's intensity and quite lovely and steamy.
Like a lot of this authors books there are a lot of action and humor and energy involved so that the lower steam elements aren't completly noticible, plus the tension between the characters keeps things interesting.
For the Audiobook version:

For some reason the pacing and vocal inflections can bring a character to life and bring different feelings into other parts of books. Also, the humor strikes me as so much funnier. The Three narrators for this books were great. They brought the characters to life and helped me understand who they are on a different level. The only thing I struggled with is that one of the narrators didn't seem to have the right sound for a character which threw me a bit because he did a great job.

This book was a lot of fun. Really strong start, funny and playful. It kind of meandered towards the end, it was much longer than it needed to be, and the work challenges didn't seem nearly as challenging in practice as they were built up to be. But the world looks like a neat one, with lots of possibilities to explore more. I also really like the three guys, they're very sweet and mesh well. There wasn't nearly as much communication as is required for a poly relationship, and everything they've done, they've done together...which also doesn't feel particularly poly as the relationship seem joint instead of separate, but I guess it's an attempt at poly representation.
