Phenomenal art. The use of color and frame to convey tempo and space and mood, moving together with the story. A story of the struggle in tackling social economics draws the reader to reflect on the complexities of lives outside their bubble of understanding. When we take the time to notice differences and relax our reflexes of fear and ignorance, we begin to see that we can be the change, not by meddling, but by leveraging the tools of social change. However, I feel that social issues are both global and closer to home. And it takes more a subtle discernment of cultures on how best to influence global social issues.
I do wish this was given a longer form. So that the ending could be wrapped up with the same complexity of the story, leaving some loose ends, leaving the tracks of another issue to pursue. Showing that in real life, mistakes are made, some hurts remain, but a life lived fully is worth it.

- Enjoyed this, some parts actually spooked me a little, which wasn't something I was expecting to feel
- Good art (slash why were the gold farmers so cute omg)
- Women's empowerment hurting/not considering other social issues??? Something to think about!!!!!! (squint to see it in this book though)
- Idea of Anda not being able to understand the plight of the gold farmers, I appreciated that addition, not sure if I think it's a good/necessary reminder (sometimes), or if I can relate
- Wasn't exactly what I expected (thought it was gonna be more like, you kill the avatar, you kill them, which would have also been interesting), but still enjoyed

I liked aspects of this but mostly I just found it kind of forgettable. I just read it Monday but it's Thursday as I write this review, and I keep having to remind myself what it was about.

This was so cute and sad at the same time. It was a fun comic, but its also a powerful reminder that we can help or hurt others, even if we never meet them "in real life".

I wish there was more I could have read!! It was simply and utterly spectacular. I loved how the plot line highlights the beauty and darkness of MMOs, while also creating a fun plot. I only wished it was longer.
