Too much

I'm glad William, from Edge#1, found his true 💘. However, I don't like violence mixed up with my romances. Characters are well-written as expected.

First Thought when Finished: Bayou Moon was great! I knew William's story would be kick ass but really it was Cerise is the one who shined.

Story Thoughts: Love stories that give me a Hatfield and McCoys feel and this one nailed it! I have had this book since 2013 and was so glad to finally get to it. I am loving this series and there isn't much that I can say about that hasn't been said before. I will say that the thing I love most about it is the action. There is lots of it and it is kick ass!

Character Thoughts: I love William. Ok I loved him in the first book too but loved him even more here. What I loved most was that Cerise made him shine, her family made him crazy, and his predicament made him think fast on his feet. I did love Cerise too and her kooky family. She actually stole the show as far as I am concerned. She was smart, ballsy, and a wonderful leader. I am thrilled to the 2 rascals get their own books! I think those will be interesting.

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Renée Raudman / Length: 15 hrs and 32 mins

Again Renee did an excellent jobs. This are not short listens though so be in it for the long haul. They are worth every minute but at 15 hours it is a commitment!

Final Thoughts: Bring on Book 3!

The MMCs, Cerise and William, are likable and it's fun to see a big family embrace a loner, but there's too much action and conflict in the book with all the travel, the side characters, the big fight, etc. It's a little too jam-packed and there are a handful of chapters from different one-time POVs which felt jarring.

Better than the previous one..
LOVED William!

Love this series!

This book was almost as great as the first book. I was elated to see it was about William and Cerise was badass.

The book made me belly laugh a few times, especially when William called Cerise a swamp mermaid.

The one thing that was tedious was all the neverending battles. I am just not a battle kind of girl. I like one or two and that's my limit or I start to skip over them and then I have to wonder later who died or didn't die.

It's crazy how I have read other works by Ilona Andrews and each time, they have a different flavor. If I were blindfolded and given a bite of her different series, I wouldn't know that the same person wrote all of them. She cooks up something different and unique each time. I think that takes talent.

This was a fun urban paranormal romance, but some of the magic systems were confusing and I felt that Spider was not scary enough to be a villain. After William's short appearance in [b:On the Edge|6329547|On the Edge (The Edge, #1)|Ilona Andrews|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1307445575l/6329547._SY75_.jpg|6515186], it was great to have an entire book focused on him. Fans of Rose, Declan, Jack, and George will appreciate the glimpse into their life in the Weird.
