I have been wanting to read this series for month's, especially after reading all the great reviews it has warranted. I sat down with my Kindle last night at about 10pm just intending to read for a couple of hours before going to bed. At 5am, I was done! Reece & Kara's story, scratch that; their spark, lust, desire, love - just leap off of the page and grab you. It refuses to let go until you finish. My only true sadness from this comes in knowing that I will devour this series so quickly and I will ultimately be left waiting several months for [b:Breaking Point|9314304|Breaking Point (I-Team, #5)|Pamela Clare|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1315014958s/9314304.jpg|14197389] to release - [a:Pamela Clare|92650|Pamela Clare|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1259961877p2/92650.jpg] is truly a master!
This was really good. Closer to 4-1/2 than 4. It started out a bit slow for me, but ultimately got so good I couldn't put it down. I sort of suspected one of the "bad guys" early on. Bad guys is in quotes because he wasn't really bad, but he certainly wasn't helpful.
I thought the relationship started off really fast. Or maybe it was the need or the constant thoughts of the other. The actual relationship was sort of slow in starting, sort of how Reece planned it. He almost treated her like a spooked horse, somehow knowing she needed to be handled with kid gloves. And she tried so hard to resist, but how can one resist perfection?
Anyway, beyond the sweet relationship and great chemistry, there was the great mystery behind the story. It was interesting how everything dovetailed in the end.
I'll definitely read another by this author.
(And another one with no errors for me to complain about!! I *love* that, lol.)

Really loved it, from start to finish. Funny, suspenseful and thrilling. Loved Reece, the way he made Kara his number one priority, the way he respected and loved her and didn't budge when she tried to close him out. Kara is a strong single working mother with bad men experience. She falls for Reece without realizing it and tries to keep him at arms length because of all the stuff happening on her life because of a dangerous story she is covering. Looking forward for the next book in the series.
DNF about 48%. I really tried with this book because it seemed interesting, if a little different from what I normally read. But it just felt forced. The writing itself wasn't bad at all. But there just wasn't anything original about it--I just couldn't get into it.
This is my first time reading "Romantic suspense" and I enjoyed it.
What stopped me from loving it was the repetitiveness....I don't have a memory problem so I don't need to be reminded of a piece of the conversation from the previous page.
This happened quite regularly & detracted from my enjoyment of the story.
Other than that I really liked the characters and the suspense part of the story was very intriguing & held my attention.
I will definitely try another of her books but if the whole repeating bits of the conversation is a regular occurrence I don't think I will go further than that.

Excellent suspense (the 2nd half kept me on the edge of my seat) + romance with two smart, interesting protagonists.
