Yeah so I wasn’t a huge fan of this at all. Natasha is back again, this time she’s more boring than ever…I was really expecting this to be more of a spy thriller from the description, but it was just Natasha complaining for 6 issues (which is very ooc imo). Natasha has virtually no personality in here whatsoever…and she’s really bad at espionage for some reason. She literally fucks up the job she’s been groomed to do since she was a baby every issue. And her and Maria’s “friendship” is also highly ooc, bc these two have literally tried to kill each other using Morse code before

My first Marvel Comic!!
I decided to start with Black Widow since she's my current fave and you can never have enough of badass women in your life!
And let me say it was a good choice! After reading this one I just want the Black Widow movie more than I did before!
I adooooored the art in this, it's so nice to read because the art is so beautiful and the story is really interesting, you're hooked after the very first pages.

The art is so good in this! And Nat isn't sexualised at all which is a nice change in comics. Unfortunately while it was good to see Natasha's life outside of the avengers, I didn't find the story particularly interesting.
If my library has any more issues I will continue the series as I feel it will pick up.

the art is lovely but there's a distance to the writing that made it hard to connect with natasha as a character. i'll give it one more volume probably

Natasha Romanova aka Black Widow is an occasional Avenger, S.H.I.E.L.D agent, and spy finally meets her match, or does she?
A kickass heroine kicking asses left and right while showing the appropriate amount of cleavage (almost none) and atoning for her dark past.
I'm not entirely sure whether she has superpowers or not but she's a much better spider than Spiderman.
The art is terrific!

Great Phil Noto art, but story was somewhat bland/generic and I lost interest fairly early on.
