this fucking sucks. its not a vampire chronicle its another mayfair witches book with lestat marketed as a vampire chronicle with mona mayfair. blackwood farm should be another series i like it but you cannot make lestat, mona and quinn the new lestat, louis and claudia. this was tedious to read, the only likeable characters are lestat and quinn who are not at their peak in this. quinn is dumbed down and uninteresting, pretty much michael in another font. lestat has lost all his charisma over the last few books and turned into an annoying, whiny bitch. the whole book he goes on about how he wants to be a good person, but like.. he's still a rapist. the first chapter is a very out of character rant from "lestat" (very obviously just anne venting through him) about how people didnt like memnoch the devil but it was such a great book. its not. memnoch sucks, this sucks, it makes me sad a series with such potential had to end up like this. devastating. thank the lords amc are genuinely improving the story (michael curry doesnt exist)
