This is a good Pratchett’s book by any means. If you read a lot of Pratchett’s you can find his books repetitive though.
What I also don’t like too much he very often describes through dialogue, which is not good for me.
That is why I cannot rate the book (my enjoyment of the book) higher.

Very funny and happy to say i laughed out loud quite a bit. The novel was very easy to get into and this is my first read in the discworld series.

This one was really, really good. Pratchett is commenting on the fallacies of war and sexism in this book. Great characters! Lots of play with gender and gender roles. Might it be a bit different if it had been writing today? Yes. But for a book published twenty years ago, it’s really handled the topic pretty well. I had a lot of fun with this one!

Fantastic story about the sad realities of war and how propaganda affects its citizens. Also an absolutely fantastic feminist novel about women's rights and attitudes towards them.

Polly is an absolute gem.

This book made me think, and it made me feel.

Another top Discworld story
