Highly Entertaining! I strongly recommend listening to this book.

My entire body aches from how terrifying my sudden realization is: no matter what happens with that fucking test, no matter who I end up being, at this moment, I know exactly who I am.
Theirs.

Thoughts: 💡
This book was crazy hot! Between the kinky lactation play and hint of Mommy Dommy this book’s spice was literal fire. Beyond that though there was this adorable love story with a detailed and well put together plot.
The characters were perfect! Even though there were times the FMC really frustrated me every time I took a second to think about her choices and reactions in real life I got it, they made practical sense. The MMC still had that slightly unrealistic idea of love and was way too gungho, but it fit for his character.
The audio quality was great, I loved line by line dual narration and these lines were seamlessly edited together. I had to listen to this on 1.4 anything slower felt like the audio was playing in slow mo. Daisy was great and Jason Clarke had this deep measured tone on every line that reminded of Clint Eastwood for some reason. I thought they were both pretty solid narrators.
Ultimately this was a highly entertaining book and I strongly recommend it.

4.5

I loved this book so much. I thought reading about devoted dads couldn’t get any better, but make it a man devoted to a child who isn’t biologically his and I’m a goner. Beau is top notch, crème de la crème, do they make them better? I don’t know 🤣 Jason Clarke is the perfect narrator of Beau, no surprise there as he’s one of my favorite narrators. He just has a way of bringing characters to life through his voice that you just can’t get reading off a page. I also really like that Daisy herself co-narrates. It adds depth to the performance since she brought the story to fruition.  Literally the only reason I have this book a 4 and not a 5 is because the whole lactation thing creeps me out. So no fault to the book, it’s just not my cup of tea.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: single mom, small town, found family, reverse age gap

𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: death of a parent,  alcoholism, dr*g use

I really liked this book. It has some kinks that I haven't discovered so far in the books I've read.

Beck is a single mother after her ex deliver the divorce papers on the same day she found out she is pregnant and he wants nothing to do with their son. Now, she moves closer to her parents.

Beau is a mechanic who is still suffering after the death of his father. What makes him feel better is spending time with Beck and Jett.

The two/three spend a lot of time together and start getting to know each other and very quickly form a friendship, but Beau wants more. He wants Beck and is ready to fight together, and also Jett that he started to love him from the first day he met him.

After passing that part where they take small steps to test the new relationship role... you are not ready for what happens next. Just take a cold drink with you because the spicy scenes are super hot!!

Like kinks that I discovered now are lactation and breading, I don't know if they are really for me, but they didn't bother me to enjoy the moments between them.

Thank you Daisy Jane for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Here I go, starting another Daisy Jane series! The Wild One is book one in The Wrench King series - a series that will give us the love stories of the 4 main people who work at one location of The Wrench King - a car shop. Book one is Beau’s story with Beck - a reverse age-gap, single mom romance!
Beck and Beau meet when he’s not at his best, it’s been about a year since his father passed away and dropped a bomb on his life, and even after 12 months, he still finds himself at the bottom of a bottle trying to drown away his sorrows. He’s drunk and hungover (the worst combo) at work when Beck walks in to get her air conditioner fixed. Their first interaction goes… well, less than well, and a week later when she comes to pick up her car, Beau prepares to apologize. What he wasn’t prepared for was to fall in love at first, or I guess second, sight. Can they come back from their rocky start, and will Beck be able to accept love after divorcing her dirtbag ex?
I really struggled to like Beck. She was supposed to be about 10 years older than Beau but she had the emotional maturity of a mid-twenty something at best. Her character wasn’t fully developed and she flip-flopped a lot throughout the story which I didn’t like. Beau was lovable and so, so sweet, but I kind of wish that he’d had a little more growth. I don’t know that meeting someone is enough to pull you fully out from a funk like the one that he was in, and it felt a little savior complexy and wasn’t really addressed. He was never shy or dishonest, though, which I love, and that also made it harder to like Beck because she just didn’t see what was right in front of him???
The dirty talk and kinks were on point (check the author’s reading guide), and I thought the steamy writing was better in this book than some of the other books of Daisy’s that I’ve read. I’m excited to read the rest of the series and just hope I like the future FMCs more!
