Enjoyed this as a quick vacation read, but it is somewhat predictable in my opinion. The author attempts to send you in multitude of different directions before settling on the real killer. The flashes to the past didn't add much to the story. I would have liked to either see more of these in greater details, or had the snippets of information told in other ways.
However, I quite enjoyed the setting in a gated community. As someone who has never lived in such a place, they do seem somewhat ominous and like they could be breeding grounds for nefarious acts. I enjoyed the portrayal of the tight knit community protecting itself.
Definitely just an average read for me, but I would be interested in checking out some of the author's other reads.
