This book is a fun piece of nostalgia for me, but more importantly, the message of the book about media manipulation is even more impactful today. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you're reading this book which is 25 years old, out of print, and based upon an X-Men spinoff comic... is my review going to sway you in any way? If you're like me, you found this in a used bookstore and immediately grabbed at a shot to read about your favorite teen mutant team again. It's arguably officially published fanfic; there's nothing here that made it into the Marvel comics canon. But it's an enjoyable enough read once you get past the short first chapter, which treats the reader as if they know nothing about the characters.

Chances are if you've picked up this book, it's for the mid-90s superhero nostalgia, and it delivers on that point. Fast paced, action filled, and revisits some of teen me's favorite characters. I liked it!

The only thing I have to say is, what do I need to do to get paid to write Gen X fanfic!?!?
