Disclaimer: I received this book at no cost from the publisher/author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I am leaving a voluntary review and all opinions are my own.
This book is small-town romance at its finest! I am convinced that there isn't a trope that Meghan Quinn can't master. She takes off like a rocket with every new release.
Meghan Quinn is definitely the queen of her craft. I am still astounded every time I read another one of her books because it always feels like it was written just for me. The quality is always outstanding and her writing voice is so relatable. I love her creative scenes, amusing situations, and clever plotting.
I have fallen so in love with this group of characters from Almond Bay. All of the small-town vibes and the family unity make these books stand out in a big way. The characters are all so complex and distinct with fantastic character growth. I adore the quirky townsfolk and the strong bond between Aubree and her siblings. It is so easy to fall head over heels for each and every character.
I am so jazzed every time there is a mention of or appearance of a character from another one of Quinn's books. The fangirl in me goes gaga and the easter eggs put me on cloud nine every time!
The chemistry between Aubree and Wyatt was top-notch! All the witty banter and sexual tension were masterfully written. I was invested in their relationship from the start. I loved how Wyatt appreciated Abree, saw the best in her, and wasn't shy about letting her know it. It really warmed my heart. There was definitely a lot of drool-worthy angst at the beginning of the story but Aubree and Wyatt's relationship felt very genuine. There was a level of comfort that they had with each other that was endearing. I loved the fake relationship trope and how it was executed. Seeing all of those real feelings pop up between them was so heartwarming.
Overall, this was an entertaining story full of heartfelt emotions, humor, and family vibes. Meghan Quinn tells an impressive story each and every time. I am so glad I decided to take a chance on this author years ago because I have found my go-to author for quality romcoms. The next release from this author can never come fast enough but when it does I am always blown away!

QUINN DOES IT AGAIN!
After a re read (following The Way I Hate Him this time) I still think this book is amazing. I loved Hattie & Hayes but honestly Aubrey & Wyatt might be my favorite (I'm diving into The Path to Loving Him so we'll see). This is one of my favorite series by Quinn, the characters are just so well rounded & I feel so much for them!
I listened to the audiobook & loved that the narrators gave every character a distinctive voice. This book has a ton of side characters & I loved them & the little quirky town of Almond Bay. I SCREAMED when Wyatt took Audrey to Canoodle because Runaway Groomsman is still my ATF Quinn book. I. Did read the first book in this series (I didn't realize The Way I Hate Him was the first) but even so the book was enjoyable & easy to follow. Definitely going to pick up TWIHH next!

Meghan Quinn has a talent for writing hot loveable goofballs (like a human golden retriever) that makes me swoon every time.
This is (as one of the characters described it) a reverse grumpy/sunshine story where SHE is the grump for a change. Through Aubree & Wyatt we learn a little more about the Rowley siblings and Almond Bay (a small eccentric town that could give Stars Hollow a run for its money), we get more of Hayes and Hattie and little glimpses at Ryland who better get his own book soon.

Really?? An on-the-page scene of child abuse in the first chapter with ZERO trigger warnings in the book or even on your website? IN A ROM COM? I think this is where we part ways for good.

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.
The Reason I Married Him was yet another delightful romantic comedy by Meghan Quinn. It was witty, fun, sassy, and even emotionally heavy at times (make sure to check content warnings for this book). The fake dating/marriage of convenience had so many hilarious moments. The slow burn of Wyatt and Aubree falling in love by faking it was sweet, emotional, and then oh-so-steamy.
Wyatt is the man with a plan. He's a ray of sunshine, this guy. His tactics aren't fair. He's sweet and funny. He crafts crazy, fun stories just like our girl Meghan Quinn. He's amazing. I adored how he wooed grumpy Aubree who didn't see him, his smooth moves, or his mission coming. There were a few times that Wyatt's POV made me uncomfortable with his denial of his feelings and his thoughts of how helpful he was being to Aubree, but his thoughts made sense with the storyline.
Aubree is, well, grumpy. Life started out rough for her with parental emotional abuse and hasn't given her many breaks. Aubree's finally doing what she loves, even if she's not sure she's doing it well, and she doesn't need a stupidly smart and witty author showing up to give her ideas - for the farm or about love. I wanted to hug her so badly. She was such a good person who deserved the best but was hiding after all the trauma she dealt with.
Wyatt + Aubree = a hilariously awkward time. Everything was supposed to be fake between them, but from the minute they start interacting the banter and chemistry prove that's going to be impossible. They were perfect for each other. I loved the balance between their personalities and what they each brought to a life with each other. The closer they got, the more I loved them together. Their problems towards the end were cleared up a little faster than I would have liked, but I was also happy Aubree didn't have to sit in that particular sadness too long.
While Wyatt and Aubree were the stars of this book, it wouldn't have been a Meghan Quinn romance without a ton of amazing side characters. Almond Bay's kookiest residents were back and there were some surprise cameos I loved. The best side character moments were with Aubree's family, though. There were so many special ones that had me laughing or smiling.
Like I said before, this was a delightful romantic comedy from Quinn. I enjoyed reading it and fans of this author are going to love it.

Trying to figure out where to start with this review is the hardest!
I'll be honest this book hits close to home, and It will forever hold a special place in my heart!
I am a sucker for the reverse grump and sunshine trope, honestly, because I live it! My hubby is my sunshine and so much like Wyett.
This book was so good and filled me with so many feelings!
I loved it!
Overall ☆☆☆☆☆/ 5
Spice ★★★/5 slow burn
