I liked how unique each of the stories felt and they were very well-written. They felt both refreshing as stories themselves, and compared to each other. Some worked really well, while others sort of missed the mark and I wouldn't personally categorize certain stories as horror.

If you are looking for some interesting and inventive short stories, this is a good choice. If you are looking for dark or horror stories, I don't know how much mileage you'll get from this collection.

It feels like I have discovered something great. That I have been allowed to witness the creative mind of someone who is, let's just say, extremely creative.

Thoroughly enjoyed this collection. A great mix of fun, twisted, darkly humorous stories intermingled with some great twists and unexpected story lines.
It had me intrigued throughout, sometimes laughing, sometimes cringing, and sometimes even wanting to cry (did I just say that). Oh yes, and sometimes itching.

I have mentioned it before, but I am really amazed about how well JT Lawrence rights a short story. The ability to intrigue and elicit emotions from readers in so few pages is incredible.

Can't wait to read more from Lawrence

This is a terrific collection of short stories! Well written and interesting. Each one is different and some made me giggle while others kept me up late, thinking about my life choices.

What a waste of my life that I will never get back...

Honestly one of the worst things I’ve ever read. NONE of the stories made any sense whatsoever and none of them were scary, thrilling, or suspenseful in the least.
The first story, what 16 year old doesn’t know what the hell a parenthesis is???? How would they have gotten through elementary school without learning that. The story about the woman poisoning her husband with arsenic for his money? SHOCKING! Who could have foreseen such an outcome?! Woaaahhhh.
The story about Jeff the trip advisor guy? That is literally every single disgruntled customer who doesn’t get his way. Also shocking.
And the story about the woman looking for milk? WHO GOES TO AN ANTIQUE STORE AND A FURNITURE STORE LOOKING FOR MILK?!?!?!?! And then gets angry when the store keeper has no milk?!

I wish I could get back the few hours it took me to listen to this book start to finish while driving home on a long road trip. Could not pay enough to read the second book and I wish I could give this zero stars.

Seems like Jeff maaaay have known what he was talking about after all.

Enjoyable, bite sized

Short stories are my favorite for getting over a book hangover. Even better when they're just the right length. A few pages of bliss. Quick in and quick out.

I am not usually a huge fan of short stories because it feels like I am just getting into the story when its over. This collection is full of some really solid short stories, though. They aren't all amazing, but there are several good ones that manage to do a great deal of character development and storytelling in a very short amount of time. Overall, this was a really entertaining collection. The length of the stories also made it easy to listen on my commute or at lunch without feeling like I might lose my focus or forget where I left off.

I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left my honest review.

JT Lawrence has fast become one of my favourite authors. This collection of short stories is no exception.

The Itch and Grey Magic were two stories in this one which really stood out for me as enjoyable. JTL is great at giving just enough information for the story to work, so that the stories stay short!
