This story is breathtaking. Having been signed up for Bryn's mailing list for a while, I got the chance to read this one (and this is absolutely a promo, if you're not signed up you totally should), and I'm so happy I took the 15 minutes.

Every second of the interactions between Cedara and Hal are golden, especially with the details of Hal's memory issues woven in. As someone who values my ability to remember things very heavily, this hit pretty close to home for me, and it created an incredibly strong connection between the story and me as a reader.

Another masterful work, very well done!

There is so much to say about this short story. I really loved Hal and Cedara; they worked so well and I like how they met (with the lightning strike). The conflict was something I guessed, but it still shocked me. There was a lot of emotion in that scene.

I honestly love how the short story has a theme of memory as something important.

Overall, really good!
