Ugh, this volume just doubled down on all the shit I didn't like from volume 2. Extremely out of place fanservice, with no purpose whatsoever. To reiterate what I said in my review for volume 2, the original Devilman reveled in nudity, but it was almost always done for the sake of horror or to showcase the primality of demonhood. This is just pointless, out of place, and eye-rollingly cringy. It doesn't serve any aspect of the story. The plot has also become a mess and the motivations of most characters don't make much sense. The demons in Grimoire just aren't scary - most of them seem to just switch sides for inexplicable reasons, while the others are pushovers. Even the supposedly powerful demon big bad is a joke. The only saving grace of this volume is
Miki becoming a Devilman.
