enjoyable book, really interested to see where the story goes from here. it felt like most of this book was a backstory for future books to come (which i like an intense backstory) so i’m hoping that some of the lore we learned starts to matter as we see more action in future books

No explanation about what's going on. Wtf are moon plumes and moon falls and elementals amd phases. Too much with no explanation.
Main character is miserable AF to listen to

This is one of the worst books I've ever read, and the main character drove me completely around the bend. Also, really expected this book to have like, at least 5 dragons, which it didn't. This isn't a dragon book. This is a romance wherein dragons happen to be mentioned.
It's a shame, too, because the world-building is actually really cool. I'd like to know more about the world it's set in, but that would mean slogging through more of this main character, and I genuinely cannot do it.

Omg. The fact that I have to wait another year for the next book makes me sad. I really enjoyed this world, and writing style.

This was such a beautiful story! So unique in many aspects while also having some typical romantasy elements (bad*ass fmc, hero rescuing the heroine…). I must admit that i was a bit lost during the first 15% of the book, but afterwards I couldn’t put it down! There were at times complicated bits of worldbuilding to grasp, especially when they were dumped all together but the glossary included in the book helped a lot. I really liked both main characters Raeve and Kaan, they’re both gone through much sufferings, especially Raeve and when the ending brought new light to her past, i felt incredibly bad for her. She’s definitely a very resilient (and a bit unhinged
