Way too in-depth for what I was looking for, and weirdly put together as a series of exercises demonstrating very particular details on color mixing and other phenomena.

If you are seeking to understand the physics of colors, it is likely that Goethe’s “Theory of Colours” has you well covered.

Fascinating, encouraging, and fun look at color. Makes you throw out/question everything you think you know about color which I believe is the point.

THE bible when it comes to advanced color theory. I've read it cover to cover several times and reference it frequently.

Reading this in print is interesting because some of the color plates very obviously do not achieve the intended visual effect explained on the opposite page (I noticed it first for the chapter VI plates and then couldn't unsee it). Or maybe I've just been staring at colors too long to get tricked by the optical illusions anymore.
