A hardboiled detective who's actually a dinosaur in disguise. If that's not a premise to tickle your weird-reading bone I don't know what is.
So much fun!! I did a lot of laughing. Takes a bit to wrap your mind around it, but once you do, it's such a great ride!
Fun casual read! It was a nice reprieve from life chaos at the time, and I would recommend it to dino and satire lovers alike!

Bought it on a whim -- the detective is a dinosaur? But, like, in present times? Weird enough to grab my attention. This turned out to be a good choice -- the writing is punchy and the humor is spot-on. I read over several weeks before bed (my favorite use of my Kindle; no bedside lamp means the husband sleeps peacefully), so I couldn't always remember what was going on with the mystery, but that didn't dampen the enjoyment.
9/10, will def read next book.
