Interesting read but got a little repetitive. Gives a different perspective on wealth and wealth inequality

It just failed to grab me with either narrative or novelty.

Decent and informative book on the impact rich people have on their environment and community. Repetitive at parts but the interviews make the general claims more approachable. Cool book just dragged too much for me.

Somewhere between 3 to 4 stars.

I found parts of this book compelling, Farrell certainly shared some interesting insights about the dynamics of extreme wealth in the region of which I was unaware. And while it certainly seems that many of the high net worth individuals who were interviewed do not grasp the reality of their community or place within it. I also can't help but think, it’s none of my business what they do with their money. I do wish these ultrawealthy took a keen interest in rectifying some of these community challenges but you also can’t force individuals to do anything they don’t want to.

Some facinaticing anecdotes and theories about wealth disparity but not a home run IMO.
