This one puts the other road trip book, The Deep End, to shame. It’s hilarious, so chaotic, and so consistently entertaining. I love the addition of the pig, we get to see a lot of each family member, there’s some good callback punchlines. We also get a break from so much of Greg being a terrible person. I mean, he still is and we can see that in this book, but there’s a lot more to the narrative than that this time around, which is refreshing.

Potentially the best in the series—if my opinions stayed the same over time as my initial review scores, that would definitely be the case because the scores I’ve given this book beat out those for any other Diary. It’s an atypical entry in the series because it’s got a single plot-line and takes place over about a week, but it’s just so exciting and whacky and creative.

Rate: 3.5
Better than other books, nicer humor but still.
It could be super funny and I could be the Moody one here xD
