I would have given this a three star rating if it wasn't for the main character. There were too many moments where I wanted to throw my book across the room in frustration over how Frannie was acting. I've never read a book where the main character whines, screams, throws tantrums, and behaves like an over-dramatic child the way Frannie does. Luc and Gabriel are the reason I continue reading this series, but unfortunately them being attached to Frannie all the time makes it difficult for me to get through the book sometimes.
This series would be a lot better if there was no love triangle. Frannie's constant flip-flopping between Luc and Gabriel doesn't make her love for Luc appear to be very genuine.
I also had a good laugh at Frannie being strong enough to break demon's arm. If she's such a good fighter why does she need two bodyguards with her 24/7?

Some spoilers!!!
I won this book in the giveaways section for first reads. And I am so glad I did. I absolutely loved Personal Demons and then Original Sin was darker since we are dealing with demons and betrayals.
OMG! LOVE Luc but I also have a soft spot for Gabe.. I can't make up my mind between the two but I do wish Frannie would have chosen already who she wants to pick. I'm sure the next book will fill us in on that.
I think this book had the right amount of action in the right spots and then at the end when Frannie asks Luc whether or not he was going with her and there was no reply!! Mannnnn! I hate waiting and have to wait another year? Jeeze! :D
I love this series so far and recommend these books to all! Go get your copy today! No really.. do it!

Pffft! Déçue.
Liked this book a lot! A ton of action cover to cover, I felt like it was an episode of Y&R. I feel that it got a little much with the heaven/ hell stuff sometimes but i liked it. The relationship drama between Luc and Frannie is tragic ... sometimes annoying but mostly captivating. Overall I really did like it and read it within two days. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I'm just going to be blunt and just admit that I really didn't like this book. I recall liking the first book, which was one of the main reasons why I decided to continue with the series and read this book ASAP. It's a bit of an understatement when I say that I was incredibly disappointed in the end.
This books starts off where the first book ended: when Luc becomes human and he's no longer a demon. In fact, he's now tagged for heaven with his girlfriend Frannie. But the fact that Luc isn't a demon anymore is what is attracting most of his old friends back when he was a demon... and now the head demon, himself, wants him back. Gabe could easily protect them with him being an angel and all but because of how much he loves Frannie (... really?) he forces himself away. The demons are determined, though, and take down many of Frannie's friends to get what they want... and even hired a fallen angel to reverse their tags to get them.
The romance- there's just so much wrong with the romance. I don't mind love triangles, honestly, as long as they're written well... but this one just wasn't well thought-out as it could have been. I'm sure if Frannie could've stopped being indecisive between being with Luc or being with Gabe. I think, if she's considered dating Luc, she shouldn't have even bothered kissing Gabe at all when he was actually around... especially since which would have been understandable that she got pissed off at him... if she didn't have the desire to DO THE SAME THING WITH GABRIEL. No. Just, no. Frannie's such a hypocrite.
Frannie, herself, does have some intelligent moments but, overall, she's just... not really that bright. She's just not that much of a strong heroine. I don't even consider her 'Sway' a power either, most of it is just using the right words to get someone to agree with her. The only thing that would make it a power is that she can send messages to others... that's about it. That's all.
One of the main plot points would probably make any feminist wince, though:
I guess if you like angel and demon conflict related story, this might be for you. If you don't think too hard on it, you may find it enjoyable. It was the flaws, overall, that just made me want to throw this book away. Sorry.

when she accidentally stumbles upon Luc having sex with Lili (AKA Lilith- I mean, come on, it should have been obvious since Luc = Lucifer and Gabe = Gabriel)Frannie, herself, does have some intelligent moments but, overall, she's just... not really that bright. Lili/ Lilith really only existed to lust on many of the main characters- Luc, Frannie, and Gabe (although he wasn't as affected...). This went on for about maybe half of the book, if I had to estimate, so yeah. Um. I didn't like her when I saw her in the book and I didn't like her at the end.I guess if you like angel and demon conflict related story, this might be for you. HOLY CRAP, ahsdflasdkjf;sldkjfl!!!!! Okay sorry that is how I felt after reading Original Sin, it was freaking insane! Basically everything bad that could happen to the characters happens to them in this book. Seriously I am glad I'm not Frannie because there were multiple times I wanted to throw my book at the wall. I think I spent most of the book really mad, there were a few characters that I wanted to beat the crap out or at least knock some sense into them (I wanted to scream most of the time too). Basically I had really conflicting feelings throughout the book & I still don't know how I feel. All the events of the book were crazy, but the ending was the biggest kicker, I cannot wait to see what the next book will bring!
I can't really even comment too much on characters because it will give too much away, but my emotions were all over the place. I am still conflicted and so what happens in the next will be important. It was an insane roller coaster ride. Also there are some pretty hot scenes, not going to lie. As you can see I don't even know what to say, so you just go read it, I definitely recommend it!

Holy Fricken Plot Twists Batman! I’m still reeling from this one!
All seems to be going well with Luc and Frannie. Gabe has left and Matt is watching her. Luc is doing well as a human…that is until the demons start looking for him to drag his butt back to Hell to stand trial. But he’s human and tagged for Heaven so they are out of luck, right?
Meanwhile Luc has a new neighbor, Lili…a young girl who is struggling to make ends meet, that will be starting at State in the fall. Frannie, befriends her, of course, and introduces her to Taylor and Rylee who will be going to State as well. All is going great until Matt sees Lili and decides to befriend her. Their burdgeoning friendship leaves periods of time when Frannie is Guardian Angel-less…not good! While all this is going on Taylor meets a new guy. And she is obsessed with him…which leads to another whole set of problems. Plus, there is something not quite right about Lili.
OK…there is so much going on here I just don’t know where to start. I do have to say that Lisa Desrochers style is such that the beginnings start out kind of slowly. It’s almost like you are lulled into belief that everything is cool, kosher and copacetic…then she starts dropping bombshells. First a couple, then a little while later, a few more, then it’s “run for cover” time, but she’s already taken out anything that might have been “cover” and these bombshells are just raining down on you. I had to put the book down a few times and wait for my heart to slow down.
There are times I feel the need to yell at Frannie…no, I am not normally one of those people who yell at the actors in the movie theatre, but sometimes I don’t think Frannie hears what is being said. Case in point…Luc makes what looks like an error in judgement…but he was tricked into it. People tell Frannie he was tricked into it, but she doesn’t acknowledge it. She falls for the same trick and acknowledges “that must have been what happened to Luc”. But does she pick up the phone and call Luc and let him off the hook…NO! This is when I yell at her!
I’m still on “Team Luc”…he is such a good guy. He makes mistakes, owns up to them, reflects on them, learns from them. Oh and the stuff he says to Frannie! Case in point…
“I’ve never said it,” he says, his voice low in my ear, “because it’s not enough…those words.”
I flip the last deadbolt and reach for the door handle before I process what he said. I stop and press my forehead into the door, trying to think, to breathe.
He spins me, and his hand cups my face as he gazes down into my eyes. “God, I love you.” His eyes glisten. “I love you with everything that I am.”
SWOON!!!! Hello, I’m melting here!
I really can’t wait to find out what happens in the last book! But I’m not a patient person! I’ll be rooting for Luc though! *dons Team Luc t-shirt*
