Overall I feel like this was a satisfying, if a little predictable, conclusion to the series. I found the end of the book to be a bit abrupt but it does leave lots of room to imagine the future of the characters we've been on the journey with for so long. I will definitely miss seeing the adventures of Ky and her allies but I mean I guess that's what fanfic is for lol.

Solid end to the series. I liked the different view points and the majority of the resolutions. Refreshing to have a romance where both parties have other important priorities which they must heed. Would like to read more about Stella and Pitt, who are my faves :)

A solid finish to the five book story. I particularly liked the final sequence, although there were no real surprises there. Overall, as military science fiction goes, the series, including this book, was good. However, I may be spoiled, but I kind of would like my science fiction, even space opera, to be deeper than this was.

I wasn't quite sure how I would feel about this book (and the series, to be honest) through the first 80%. For most of the series, it felt uneven, questionable subplots, and uninteresting character development. Luckily, the book redeemed itself in the final 20% with the final battle. While the final battle was short in the book, it was beautifully written and gave me very much a Ender's Game-vibe with Ender Wiggins commanding massive fleets in space combat, and that alone is enough for me to give it a 4-star. However, as already mentioned, the series fell short in many aspects. Overall I would rate the series a 3-star.
