As I sailed onto the lake I realized the Fates really were cruel. They sent Calypso someone she couldn’t help but love. But it worked both ways. For the rest of my life I would always be thinking about her. She would always be my biggest what if.

Happy to say that it's still good good good.

P.S.: The Finnish translation is absolutely terrible.

This book was my most anticipated one in the series and it did not disappoint. The stakes were very high and even at the end we didn’t get a super fluffy ending like the previous books, maybe even a little cliff hanger? My favorite thing about this book was just how action packed it was, it was even a little less predictable than the previous books and felt less like a collection of short stories and more like a cohesive book. I’m not enjoying that Annabeth and Percy seem to be experiencing some romantic attraction but I do understand that they are no longer 12 and it’s a bit more understandable at this stage.

This book is not one of my all time favorites but it is definitely my favorite in the series so far. I’m loving the high stakes and am getting more attached to the characters in every installment. I hope this series goes out with a banging ending. I feel I may be convinced to pick up Hero’s of Olympus. 4 Stars.
