lighthearted mysterious fast-paced

no spoilers but this gets an extra half

I still don't love the characters...and I hate the pretentious designer name dropping...but I'm finding these books strangely addicting! (Like a bad habit!!!!)

I think this book would’ve been so much more impactful if we got the chapter with Spencer in Mona’s car after the party when she takes out the banana gum BEFORE the chapter where Hanna gets her memory back and remembers she’s A. Would’ve given the readers time to piece it together themselves.

Very glad they added the lair scene at the end of season 2 in the tv series because that is one of my favourite episodes for that set alone.

only because the A reveal is so iconic

putting aside the fact that it's pedophilic and therefore NOT romantic aria really thinks ezra is the love of her life after hanging out what? three times? insane (thank god he's gone pls stay gone u piece of shit)

speaking of why are these girls always willing to turn their lives upside down for people they don't know like emily hung out with this girl trista once and just like keeps thinking about her over her serious girlfriend

how DID emily's aunt know they sneaked out to a party it's not like that could've been A. and the fact that they sent her back when she was there for ONE DAY? what was even the point except for the later drama with trista and maya lmao

also emily's hatred of fall out boy is so weird like i get if they're not your thing but hate seems a lil strong they're not the kind of band i'd think ppl would hate, though usually it seems if ppl hate anything it's pop music and specifically women in pop music but anyway

"did someone draw better than she did? impossible." oh my GOD aria also doesn't she make a couple comments in her POV about how insane/impossible it is that a blind girl can be an artist like what world are you living in

the constant trump references made me wanna die can i have no fucking escape he's not some fucking business genius nor was he in 2008

emily's parents just doing a 180 bc they thought she was missing?? like you could've accepted your daughter before that mayhaps!! same with ella calling aria after the whole A thing was revealed like.....you kicked her out for what your husband did

"zac efron's latest girlfriend" when this book was released he had only been known for like two years and was dating vanessa hudgens like that whole time sara shepard what are you talking about

the fucking acknowledgements "the people who encouraged spencer to kiss her sister's boyfriends, aria to kiss her english teacher, emily to kiss a girl (or two), and hanna to kiss the dorky boy in school" hello?? there's a difference between the fucking pedophilia and emily kissing maya and hanna kissing lucas sdkjfskj i can't stand this. and also the "laughed at the phrase 'pussies who ride small, gay horses'" idk if even i would've found that funny in 2008 at age 13 it was a dumb line then it's a dumb line now
