WOW, this book was amazing. It made me laugh, it made me cry. Absolutely LOVED every minute of it and couldn't put it down!
Was Nicholas Sparks' writing always this excruciatingly detailed? I cant remember ever trudging my way through one of his books like this. The love story was wonderful, but honestly... did I need two pages of itemized lists of what was in a grocery store aisle? Idk. It was so tough finish, I was disappointed.
The opening scenes are very exciting and interesting, but unfortunately the story loses steam after that. The characters were not super lovable. They felt sort of ‘average’ to me so I found it hard to feel interested in their story. The ending was also predictable. I’m normally a big Nicholas Sparks fan, but this book just wasn’t my favorite by a long shot.
Better than a lot of books, but nit my favorite Sparks novel. As usual, his characters are intensely realistic and the plot flows well. Denise and Kyle are wholesome and Denise responds like an adult to situations (which is refreshing, given that a lot of young female leads in modern books seem vapid). Taylor has his good moments but is a fairly stereo-typical broody male who can’t commit and is hiding a dark secret. Not that interested in repeat readings of this one.

I love Nicholls sparks - I love love stories and this one doesn't disappoint! I did not love the portrayal of a child with special needs and I did not love that mr.sparks ALWAYS seems to kill off the best characters. It was a good quick read with a happy ending
This book was so wonderful....I have to say it was one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books ever!!! I hated that Mitch died but the ending was so good!!!!
