Nicholas Sparks was the first romance author I ever read as a teenager. This has always been one of my favorites to reread but this is the first time I’ve read since reading other romance authors (particularly spicy ones
I read this book really fast! Kept me paying attention, and was WAY better than I was expecting (yes I judged it because it's by Nicholas Sparks). Very sweet and gave me quite a bit to think about in regard to how much other people can tell us about ourselves.
I know these are written for soccer moms and hopeless romantics, but I can't help myself. It's good beach reading. Sparks weaves an enjoyable love story about how the losses in life can hold us back when we don't heal. The side story of the unshakable, unconditional love that parents can have for their children also pulls on the heart strings.
how's this for alliteration? Cookie Cutter Crap.... I had to read this for a Nicholas Sparks book club (it's a long story)... Sparks is so pretentious and has no talent...
feel good romance w/ a plot twist I didn't see coming; however, I finished the book weeks prior, but didn't remember finishing it & reread the last few chapters again, so not a very memorable book
what started as a short sweet story turned into a story of man that needs therapy and instead is taking his pain out on the people he cares about around him. oh also the writing is almost a horror story rather than just fiction.
