The first half of the book was a bit boring. I also had trouble to blend with different culture. I felt like I am missing a lot of mean because I don't understand the culture where the story is taking place. It was very predictable too. I guessed in the 1st chapter what will happen so half way thought the book I was not impressed. But the second half destroyed me. I read the last chapters in one evening and I cried so much despite knowing what would happen and how it would end. And by crying I don't mean there were few tears on my cheeks. I mean really hard ugrly crying.

The Travelling Cat Chronicles is a short story about Nana the cat as she travels around Japan with her owner, Satoru, to meet longtime friends, but is that really it? This is a book detailing the loyalty that Nana has towards Satoru and how much they loved each other amidst the language barriers. The ending definitely blew me away, and it felt bittersweet since I could deeply relate to Satoru, as I used to have pets in the past who loved me dearly.
