This book was really not for me. I appreciated it as a memoir, but it also aims to be an educational text and a self-help book, and while I respect and appreciate what the author is trying to do, I was really put off by some of it. His approach to depression and anxiety (diseases that I have in common with the author) is very different from my approach in some respects. Some of the knowledge and advice he shares was upsettingly contradictory to my own experiences.
