I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is great. Her narration catches the giddy tone of 17 year old Jade discussing her obsession (slasher movies). Although I am not a fan of slasher/horror films, I actually do like to read horror. I knew most of the movies Jade refers to in this book. If you know nothing about slasher films, I'm not sure you would appreciate this book.

How clever that Jade's papers for her history class are all about slasher films. I loved how they were sprinkled throughout. This book was an easy listen. I'd say Stephen Graham Jones puts the F in fun! Can't wait to listen to the sequel, hope it's the same narrator who did a stellar job!

This was so good, I absolutely love Jade as a character and that was honestly enough to make this book a 5 star read. But then the plot was great too. This is absolutely gonna be on my favourites list this year.
