I loved the idea behind this novel of living the wrong life - and the first half of the book is very good indeed. However, it outstays its welcome by quite some length and I was skipping towards the end. It needed cutting by about a third and then it would have been very good indeed.

I picked this up expecting pulp fiction (which was not helped by the atrocious proofreading job evident from the get go) and found about halfway through that I was actually very invested in the characters and what will happen with them. Although it has a lot of naff tropes, overall this is a fun book and I enjoyed it.
