the plot was good and it kept me hooked but there were elements that really took me out of the story, like the way women are written so clearly by a man in the 90s, or some plot points that were just brushed over.

The story of ambitious people, deceived families and medical experimentation. Smoothly written, this is a straightforward read with interesting moral dilemmas for the reader to consider. Always good value, Ken Follett can be relied upon to provide a racy thriller.

Interesting concept. I guess college kid takes on giant organization was a big storyline for the 90’s. The main protagonist in this novel is smart but makes very dumb decisions. The type where you yell at the tv in response. Some story lines in the book kind of get brushed over but I guess they can be deduced as to what happens. Overall easy read that is fun and eventful.

What a complete load of misogynistic nonsense. Do not read this book.

Its amazing how dated books become in only a few years if they involve technology. This one is like 15 years old and features dial up internet, floppy discs and other stuff ... people of the next generation reading this will probably wonder what the hell the author is talking about.

I found this book about genetic research/cloning to be fascinating and read right through it!
