THE CLIFFHANGER???

This book is phenomenal and there's only 134 pages 😭 I loved the characters and their relationship. Lana is perfect. I love how she decided to take revenge on the people who wronged her. Logan is so sweet and he is so smitten for Lana that it is so adorable.
For all my swifties, Lana is reputation coded and Logan is Lover coded 👀
I am in love with the idea of a serial killer and an FBI agent falling in love... AND THE FACT HE IS LOOKING INTO HER CASE IS BDKQBSJS
Can't wait to read the next book

This novel is disturbing. It broke me that Lana had to experience horrible things in her life. Plus the death of her brother is so sad. Her mind is super dark and her humor even darker. Agent Logan Bennet might be a great FBI profiler, but when it comes to his romantic interests, he is blind because of her charms. Damn, he will kick himself later when he finds out and I’m here for it. The twisted serial killing/revenge had me on the edge of my seat. Thank you, S. T. Abby, for this. No wonder your pen name is STABBY, lol. This is a great start to the series.💕

This book reads itself... I read it in one sitting, which is something I rarely get to do. It's shorter, the writing is flowy, the theme is intriguing - albeit I highly recommend reading trigger warnings before going into this tale because you won't be able to stop reading

The cover image may be deterring reading from choosing to read this book, the image doesn’t actually reflect the story. It’s a fantastic start to what has the promise to be an interesting series.

Oh my goodness. Why did I wait so long to pick up this series?
I love CM Owens Wild Ones series, & I love the Dark Side series by her pen name Kristy Cumning- but I have been hesitant to read this series for years now.
But I loved it.
The Risk follows Lana, a girl who is out seeking revenge on all those who have left her for dead. The ones she is after never sees her coming until it's too late. And Logan, the guy she may be falling for- who also just happens to be an FBI agent.
I love Lana. She may have went through hell when she was younger, but she's back stronger then ever & out seeking revenge on those who have wronged her.
And I loved this book. I can't believe I have put off reading it for so long. They are short, quick reads but sooo good, and are perfect fall reads. It's the perfect combination of dark but fun.. And I cannot wait to read the next one to find out what happens next.
5⭐ out of 5⭐.
2🌶️ out of 5🌶️ - a couple scenes in some detail.

Tropes:
→ dark romance
→ contemporary romance
→ serial killer h, x FBI H
→ forbidden romance
→ revenge

What in the freaking cliffhanger??? 🤬🤯 Why did I put off reading this for this long? I literally restarted reading this and wound up reading the entire book in one sitting lol.

Really good plot and the characters are really interesting. Made me instantly think of Criminal Minds with the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. With how sort this is, I feel like it should have been combined with at least one other book.

It was interesting, I liked the premise. I don’t know, I was hoping it would be spicier. And honestly too much gore for me. That’s why I won’t be continuing the series.

Dark Romance, Hidden Identites, 1 1/2 🔥

I’m making this review waaaay to long after I finished this series BUT the main reason why I recommend this is the fact that when you’re reading it you feel like you’re reading one book and not 5, and even now I genuinely cannot tell you when one book ended and when another started and I swear that I remember the whole story (not word for word obviously). The only thing that i didn’t completely like was the ending *******SPOILER****** I feel like the guy was forgiven waaayyy too quickly, like there wasn’t almost any groveling from him and that frustrated me *********END OF SPOILER******** but aside from that everything else was great. I’m gonna copy and put this review in every book from this series :)
