For such a short book it expertly gets the themes, characters and story across super quickly and well. I really enjoyed it and I'll be reading the next one. Interesting concept but quite brutal at times. It'll be interesting to see if I retain empathy with her over time. The end paragraph was an excellent hook for the next one, well done to the author for this book! 👏

Quick read! And really interesting. I don't usually like dark romance but i kind of understand the FMCs reasons (and her murder sprees aren't just for kicks). The couple is cute, and would be a v wholesome romance of not for the girl and her bff being a couple of killers

Devoured this one. It’s very short and digestible, but check trigger warnings for content that may be triggering. If you’re not into serial killers or descriptions of murder a la Mindhunter/Criminal Minds, this one might not be for you.

Slightly misleading based on the cover, this has fairly mild spice - 🌶️🌶️ out of 5.

Was recommended this series by a friend. It was a fast read and kept me intrigued and wanting to know how it ends. I’ll definitely pick up the next one in the series in the future.

THE CLIFFHANGER??? 

This book is phenomenal and there's only 134 pages 😭 I loved the characters and their relationship. Lana is perfect. I love how she decided to take revenge on the people who wronged her. Logan is so sweet and he is so smitten for Lana that it is so adorable. 
For all my swifties, Lana is reputation coded and Logan is Lover coded 👀
I am in love with the idea of a serial killer and an FBI agent falling in love... AND THE FACT HE IS LOOKING INTO HER CASE IS BDKQBSJS 
Can't wait to read the next book

Oh my goodness. Why did I wait so long to pick up this series? 

I love CM Owens Wild Ones series, & I love the Dark Side series by her pen name Kristy Cumning- but I have been hesitant to read this series for years now. 

But I loved it. 

The Risk follows Lana, a girl who is out seeking revenge on all those who have left her for dead. The ones she is after never sees her coming until it's too late. And Logan, the guy she may be falling for- who also just happens to be an FBI agent. 

I love Lana. She may have went through hell when she was younger, but she's back stronger then ever & out seeking revenge on those who have wronged her. 

And I loved this book. I can't believe I have put off reading it for so long. They are short, quick reads but sooo good, and are perfect fall reads. It's the perfect combination of dark but fun.. And I cannot wait to read the next one to find out what happens next. 
5⭐ out of 5⭐. 
2🌶️ out of 5🌶️ - a couple scenes in some detail.
