I would recommend this book to someone who is looking for magical realism and mystery. It has a diverse cast of characters in terms of personality and strong female characters. It talks about topics and or conditions that some can relate to. It is a coming-of-age story and the layout of the book is unique as it intertwines different characters' stories going back and forth with different perspectives.

Moderate: Grief, Violence, Stalking, Medical content, Abandonment, Cursing, Death, Injury/Injury detail, and Bullying
Minor: Sexual content and Sexual harassment

This book was written at the height/beginning of magical realism. I found this to be a heartfelt, delightful read about small town life. Hard to read at times, but very good.
