Since I've already started the next book I'm not going to write a review. But I will say this: I love Daniel. He was hilarious and sweet and kind and I just want him. He is mine. mmmkay.

Listened to this as an audiobook because I just cannot read books with class differences they give me anxiety for some reason. Listening was easier for me to manage. I think I just hate hearing “he’d never marry you, you’re way beneath his station.” Like omg stop.

This was good though.

At first I was SOOOOO unsure about Daniel....but then he threatened to murder somebody and I changed my mind.

The Smythe-Smiths are funky, not musically talented and full of so many delightful family relationships (extended family visits, siblings and overall chaos!) While not great literature or particularly fresh and new, I did enjoy reading this.

A Night Like This was a bit darker than I would've imagined for a historical romance but, it made is so much more intriguing. Anne and Daniel's story is one of hushed scandals, threats, kidnapping and of course romance.

I absolutely adored the Bridgerton series and am quickly falling in love with the Smythe-Smith Quartet.
