I needed fluff, and this hit just what I needed perfectly. Once I started, I couldn't put my kindle down. fast read, perfect for breaking up the angst you've been reading. Loved Kayla and Michael. They work so well together. Now, off to the next part.

Short and (as the title implies) sweet m/f romance! I liked this a lot, I LOVED Kayla and I really enjoyed all the other characters making up the world she and Michael live in - they're not everything to each other and all the background people and friends and family felt like real people also with their own lives, which I dig.

Frothy and satisfying. This book is exactly as advertised. If the blurb sounds like something you might enjoy, you probably will.

Adorable!

Super cute, fun, sexy novella (first of three). Kayla is a delight, the kind of heroine you not only want to get drinks with but also could totally see yourself being best friends with. Looking forward to the next two :)

The title fits the novella perfectly. The story is so sweet. If you like fluffy sexy romance, you should pick up this book.

Great chemistry between the characters, my favorite tropes like age gap and I appreciate men with long hair and beard. Also the protagonist Kayla is bisexual black woman, she's funny and sweet.

The novella is such a delight, you guys!
Please read it.

Really enjoyed it. It was sweet, cute and sexy. I read it in less than a day and will definitely binge the series. Will also be looking for others by Rebekah Weatherspoon.

2.5 stars

i don't know if this says more about me,, but i've read better sugar daddy aus on a03

🍂 Rep: Kayla (mc) is a plus-sized, black and bisexual; Adler (sc) is sapphic; Reuban (sc) is gay; Daniella (sc) is transgender and Afro-Cuban; Marco (sc) is Mexican and gay.

🌻 Trigger warnings for sexual assault, slut shaming, poverty themes, and alcohol consumption. Mentions homomisia and parent w/ dementia.

Rebekah Weatherspoon really does have one of the funniest voices in romance. Never fails, and I adored the heroine of this book. It's first person narrative and Kayla is hilarious, in a thoroughly real "your friend who makes you laugh" way, I loved spending time with her. Also, a plus size heroine who is happy in her body and fully appreciated for it. Yay!

The romance didn't entirely work for me, which I think is primarily because I just don't get billionaires--which is why I'm so late reading this, it just isn't my trope. Can't stand billionaires, shifters or rock stars. I'm probably going to get drummed out of the romance community. :/

Given that, I thought the sugar-daddy setup was well handled--it was squicky, but Kayla/the author know very well it's squicky and it's handled thoughtfully and consciously, negotiating a situation that's never going to be equal on a practical level.

(And there's a sequel which I'm clearly going to have to get because MORE KAYLA.)
