This was my favorite Lisa Gardner suspense mystery to date. Loved the twists. Loved the problems of all the characters, and there were a few. The fact that three rape victims banned together for support only to realize a year later that the man they protested against, who ultimately was arrested and was murdered, might not be the right man. Add to that a detective barely holding it together psychologically, and you have a good story. Very suspenseful. Gardner defines mystery plotting, and I'll refer to her when writing my own from this point forward.
An intriguing book, with some good twists that kept you on your toes, wanting to know what was going to happen next. Following three women a year after being raped and assaulted as the trial of their assailant begins. What happens next all but brings into question everything these three women and the police have been dealing with the last year. I enjoyed reading the connection between the women and the police officer to those "running" the assailants. I also felt Lisa did a good job depicting what rape survivors go through and how it changes their whole life. Overall I felt the book was really good, well written, and kept you wanting to know what was going to happen next.
I was in need of a good suspenseful novel and I found it in The Survivor's Club. It was a fun read with likable main characters. The plot of three women who survived a rape and may have pegged the wrong person for the crime had many twists and turns. I really enjoyed the mystery and would definately read another book by this author
I wasn't fond of this one. I'm glad it's not the first Lisa Gardner book I read.
The plot was interesting if somewhat harebrained. The police and the 'survivors' all seemed a bit stupid really. They should have figured out the trick with the DNA much earlier, and I hope they would not be so gullible re: the 'foaming at the mouth' thing. In a lot of ways this book kind of annoyed me.
This is one of Lisa Gardner's standalone novels. When I started it, I again wondered if I would be interested. I stuck it out, though, and the book turned out to be worth it. It's not the best work I've read of hers, and getting near the end of the book, I figured out what the villain was planning long before they did.
Still, it's not bad for a thriller.

Excellent, creepy, and chilling -- Lisa Gardner's usual standard. Couldn't put it down. Highly recommended. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
It seems I forgot to review that one, well...
Excellent book, kept me on the edge of my seat - and by the way, it's much, much better than the tv movie they made out of it !

Very enjoyable, especially if you're in the mood to put your 'willing suspension of disbelief' into overdrive. The idea of the all-knowing, perfectly-planning criminal mastermind does get a bit ridiculous, and the plot twists with well-meaning families, as well as the romantic interest between two of the characters do get a bit jarring, but for what it is, Lisa Gardner does a good job.
And (aside from the one character's kind of silly amnesia), she does convey the trauma of rape very well, as well as some of the typical aftermath symptoms. I've only read a few of her books, but she does create immediate sympathy for the victims, in a vaguely realistic way.
Great summer beach read, if you don't take it too seriously. I couldn't put it down, which does say something for it.
