Excellent heart stopping with many twists and turns. Love Lisa Gardner!
I just love to listen to these books -- but the particular author for this one was not as fabulous as the ones in I Love You more. She spent too much time trying to differentiate between the characters using poor accents and a low voice -- very distracting. The story itself was enjoyable though.
I love a good thriller. I did guess most of the angles as they were retrieved, but liked it just fine anyhow.
A solid one by Lisa Gardner. Maybe a bit long, but I enjoyed it. The habitual romance is unnecessary in this one, but at least we don’t get a sex scene in the middle of a rape investigation.
This is a really interesting novel. When I read it, a few years ago, I thought the premise of the novel was new for me. It is easy to feel sympathetic for the women and I was not at all sorry for the person who ended up dead. I read this really quickly, it was hard to put down. I wanted to know how it was going to end.
I just reread this one. I knew I really enjoyed it the first time I read it back in 2012, but I didn't remember much more than that. This is a great book with very realistic characters. There are flawed but loving families dealing with horrible situations. Lisa Gardner is one of my favorite mystery writers ever and books like this are the reason why. She is just an amazing storyteller. I continue to flip the pages, just dying to see what happens next. Love her books!
