I was really looking forward to Zee's book. I honestly can't say wheather I am dissapointed in it or not.
This series hasn't been my favorite, that's for sure. But one thing I loved about the other books, that's the msot prominent in this book, is the bond they have. They aren't just a band, they are a family. And that extends to those they love too, wives and children. I think the reason Zee always felt like an outsider is because he need let them in, so how could he feel like a part of them. It's nice that once he's ready to let them in they accept all his mistakes and flaws and loves him anyway.

I'm glad Zee got the happily ever after that he needed.

Unsurprisingly, A.L. Jackson has absolutely slayed me with yet another book in her rockstar studded series. This story. WOW. I can’t put into words how I feel after reading Stand. “Tell me your truth.” When those truths are revealed you’ll be left reeling and with all the feels. Don’t get me wrong, it’s in the very BEST of ways. This amazing story completes the Bleeding Stars Series and the last of the stories of the Sunder boys and the amazing women they fall in love with. (Don’t worry! You can jump right into the Falling Stars series and enjoy more of these amazing characters.)

Zee rescues Alexis from a dangerous situation and they feel an immediate connection from the beginning. Zee has been a loner for years and we begin to find out why. The secrets he keeps. Alexis on the other hand is an open book. She gets behind his walls and makes his soul sing. He can’t stay away from her no matter how hard he tries. She lights the dark places within him. I love how the thread of music winds its way through the story. That ending - be still my heart!! It will give you all the warm fuzzies your heart could desire!!

Oh man, AL Jackson knows how to write the angst. ANGST!!! If you've been waiting for Zee's story, hold onto your hat....it's gutwrenching.

Zee has spent the last seven years trying to atone for the mistake he made that cost him his brother. He doesn't think he's good enough because he didn't fight for his brother or for his own life after everything fell apart. But when he rescues Alexis from her would-be attacker, Zee finds the one thing that he could run towards for the rest of this life.

Zee and Alexis are kindred spirits. Both of them would bend over backward for someone they love, even if that's not what's best for them. But once these two find each other, their draw to another and their chemistry is undeniable...even if Zee tries to deny it himself.

The angst in this book could almost be considered a secondary character. It leaps off the page, to the point that I felt like I was covered in Zee's emotional issues. This is AL Jackson at her best. She makes these characters pull the same emotions out of the reader as they're displaying on the page. I was desperate for Zee to figure his mess out because I was completely vested in him getting his HEA.

Another great entry into the Bleeding Stars series. I didn't think anyone was going to top Ash, but boy was I wrong. Zee will grab you. Demand you pay attention to him and hope for allows himself a HEA.

description

"An angel. The brightest light in the midst of my darkness."

It has been more than two years since the first book in the Bleeding Stars series A Stone in the Sea released. It is always difficult to say goodbye to characters that you have spent so many hours with. I love the Sunder boys, they are such complex and intriguing guys and all of them except Zee had found their HEA. I wanted to know more about Zee, just like with the other guys there was something weighing down on him. There was a secret that kept him from fully living his life.

"You being here for a day is more than enough. Sometimes it gets old, living in the shadows. Somehow they're not quite so dark when you're around."

He met Alexis at the right place and time, things could've gone so horribly wrong if he wasn't there at that moment. There was insta-love between them, which I didn't like in the beginning. However I should've known that AL Jackson would tell an emotional and beautiful story in her own way. I didn't agree with Zee making the decisions he made, however I understood them. Alexis was such a sweet and loyal character. She was definitely perfect for Zee, who kept pushing her away (which he wasn't that successful in). There was just something between them that he couldn't ignore. We also get the final pieces to the puzzles of this series. We finally know what really happened and it was very heartbreaking. Stand was a great conclusion to this awesome series, and I can't wait to see what AL Jackson comes up with next. Hopefully she'll decide to write a novella about the guys in the future.

"You make me remember what it's like to feel. What it's like to want someone in a way that makes me feel I'm going out of my mind. Coming out of my skin."

This was the final book in the Bleeding Stars series and it was a story I was looking forward to. Zee, the drummer for Sunder. Zee and Alexis did not disappoint, this story was emotional and filled with angst and secrets and romance. The one thing that has bothered me about this series is all the lies, every one of the members of this band had a secret but didn't tell him "brothers" "family" at all which I find weird, I would have liked reading more brotherhood within the band than there was in each book. But it was a good read and I'm excited to see where Amy goes with her next book.
