I really enjoyed analyzing the symbolism in this book and trying to find connections among the characters. Analyzing the main character's motives and fears was one of my favorite parts.
I did like the twists at the end but I'm still conflicted about whether it really added anything to the story or if I just liked it because throughout the book I kept waiting for something exciting to happen and I finally got it at the end.
I think what made it really hard for me to get through this book was that I never got invested in the story or any of the characters. I tend to love unlovable characters too, but the artist just didn't do it for me. I never found myself rooting for them or against them, I was indifferent to anything that happened to them.
