I'm glad I read Drinking at the Movies first, otherwise I would have had very little patience for Wertz's earlier work. It's cool to see that she did mature and evolve into a more introspective comic maker with greater narrative capabilities (you can see faint glimmers of what's to come in the break up portion of the book, but that's about it.) Loses giant points for use of the R word, fag, and gay as pejoratives.

If loving this book is wrong, I don't want to be right.

A part of me really wants to read this.
And a part of me just wants a book titled The Fart Party to be on my book list.

Good good stuff.

A bit uneven; but when one is documenting one's life in near-daily comics, they can't all be winners.
