Disgusting, disturbing, unforgettable. Palahniuk's collection of horror short stories is notorious for being responsible for 73 different fainting incidents at readings of the story "Guts". The collection is terrifying, hilarious, and deeply twisted. It is the kind of book that you may want to block from memory when you finally complete it. By the conclusion, you are in some ways a different person perhaps not a better one than when you began it and this is what Palahniuk sets out to achieve.
