Wow… ummm. I can’t even really say anything positive about the book as like a story, cause basically every event in this book was circular and nothing happened other than
Hollyleaf diving off the deep end. I guess we know why she didn’t exhibit any obvious “beyond the stars” power.
I will say it did have some funny parts and a little, tiny bit of heartfelt parts. By the time this book was over I actually liked Lionblaze which feels like a miracle considering where he started and his middle and the book right before this even. At least I now have an idea why the next book is entitled The Fourth Apprentice. Honestly, my biggest take away from this arc is that people whose favorite show is Secret Life of the American Teenager would probably love it. And so many soap opera fans must’ve been born from reading it. It was nothing but drama and side quests. Unfortunately unlike the other two arcs and all the Super Editions (even the ones that don’t really affect what’s going on ) had a point. This arc did not. You could’ve written everything that was actually important about this arc in three books max. That is really frustrating. I thought it would get better, but it only got worse.

I love the Warriors series - it is about fighting cats. It is the last book right now. Has tons of action.

I was shocked when Hollyleaf died. I was like, "What?!? But she's one of the Three! She can't die!" That was before I figured out that Dovekit and the other kit were also kin of Firestar's kin - not exactly, however, because Whitewing was actually the "kin of your kin", because Whitewing was the daughter of Cloudtail and Cloudtail was kin of Firestar. Whitewing was the "kin of your kin", not her kits. I think that the three authors (yes, Erin Hunter is actually 3 people) shouldn't have missed that. I may be haggling over a small detail, but who knows.

-after everything that happened in the previous book it is nice that the book slows down. We get more time to feel the last two big events that happened last book
-i am not a fan of the journey to find Sol. It was a big waste of time
-Purdy is at least back
-the ending was good

Hollyleaf is the perfect example of what happens when you are a religious fanatic.

Warriors enters the mystery genre!

Though I want to slap Hollyleaf for much of this book (sorry, I still love you, Hollyleaf), she helps create a fantastically tense and twisty environment. The tragic ending rips out my heart each time I read it, but that's just a testimony to how well it's written. This book makes up for the slower parts of Power of Three and is one of the best of the series as a whole.

damn... rip
