Holy shit wow. This took me so long to finish, but trust me, it had nothing to do with the book, and everything to do with school starting 2 days before i started this book. That means that i barely have any time to read. BUT WOW. if i didn’t have school, i would have finished this in a day. This was incredibly. I was absolutely hooked from the first page, and LET ME TELL YOU. This is not one of those books, we’re one perspective is bad and you love the rest. yes you have a favorite pov, but every single one is good. EVERY SINGLE PAGE IS GOOD. EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER IS GOOD. There is not a single chapter or page where i thought “eh, this is boring”. AT ALL. This was interesting all throughout. every chapter some crazy new element of the story was built in, that later aided in the climax. this was perfectly written. AND NOT JUST THE PLOT. i am absolutely in LOVE with the characters. PARISIA? in love. REINA? in love. CALLUM? in love. TRISTAN? in love. NICOOOOOOOOOO? in love ASF. (sorry libby - i rlly like u tho). the plot twist? amazing. callum is set up to be the villain, so much so that i thought i was a genius that figured everything out. i mean, i knew that atlas was a villain very early on, but i didn’t know who helps him or how big his part was. i just assumed that it was atlas and callum. and not ezra and callum? BUT ALSOOOOO… amazing plot twist. ezra changing course? kidnapping libby? nico wanting to find her so badly and being a shell of who he was before bc she is obviously his one true love? AMAZING. the whole ending was so good i loved it. I cannot wait for the sequel. this 100% lived up to the hype and my expectations.

uhm?? wow?? but like actually what the fuck. i loved it, some stuff was a bit hard to get through but i really liked it. nico and libby literally own my heart i love them so much<3 pretty fucking excited for the second book!

This book has been on my tbr for a long time and I finally decided to read it during the holidays.

I was excited to read it but was a bit disappointed as you can see by my rating.
I had heard the complaints about the author’s writing style being “pretentious”, however I felt like it went well with the characters, the plot and I wasn’t put off by it. It sometimes, made the magic system hard to understand but overall I liked it and it suited the story.
I was more disappointed with the characters. At first, I was really invested in their lives and their feelings however, as the story progressed I found myself being quite bored of their antics and not really caring about their fates anymore. I don’t know why but after a while it felt more like teenager trying to act like adults rather than adults being in their 20s.
Moreover, the last 20% of the book were so fast-paced with so many revelations, it felt sudden since the rest had been more medium-paced.

Overall, I liked the book but I think my expectations were too high since it had been on my tbr for years.

INCROYABLE ; LA FIN MAIS WOW
