The cutest version of beauty and the beast! Classic broke kid breaks something at a rich home they can’t afford to replace and are thrusted into servitude. The quotes straight out of the beauty and the beast movies is so heart warming. The references to pop culture is so funny I can’t help but laugh. I love this nerdy romance and hope the author comes out with a new one for this series. I love how the jerk is turned to a prince though we see it coming because this is a feel good story that I will read again and again in the future. Thank you audible for suggesting this masterpiece

This series continues to charm me more than I ever thought possible. With the first two books, the author set up a fictional fandom that felt very real to me. She continues it with this book and a loose adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Tbh, this part is a bit flimsy to me. You mainly have a big library that the Beast had and he's a grumpy dude. I have read better Beauty and the Beast adaptations. STILL! When it comes to immersing oneself in the Starfield fandom, this book does its job. Rosie made me want to read the book series that doesn't actually exist and Vance provided for some entertainment in his grumpiness. He did read as older than he actually was but I think his chemistry between him and Rosie was pretty well done. I liked their initial meeting that we get glimpses of throughout the book and watching them as they grow closer together. While I do think that Rosie did some pretty dumb things in the beginning, like getting fired from her job when she needed that money or falling into a pool with a 1000 dollar book (!), I wasn't annoyed by her like some of these other reviews suggest. It was nice to get glimpses of the characters from the first two books even if it wasn't always in the best light. This book shouldn't be taken seriously. It's superficial and it's cute. That's what I enjoyed about the first two books as well.

Bookish and the Beast is a really cute YA book in Poston's Once Upon a Con series. I wish more series like this were around when I was a teenager. Its characters are geeky and fully embrace it. It was really fun to read a series that offers an inclusive set of characters who are confident in who they are. My only complaint is the "Space Dad" parts were a little creepy. Mentioning it once in passing would have been fine, but one teenage character's constant harpy on it made it a little gross.

There isn't a lot of world-building in this so it's hard to feel for the people in this book. Lots of meandering without context. As one of the characters literally says, "get to the point"
This wasn't bad, it was just too predictable for me. Everything in this book has been done before in a million movies and a million and one fanfics, including every eye-rolling rom-com moment you can imagine.
The romance was just forced and unnatural, and the characters were shallow, dull, and underwhelming.
I hate talking about a book this way, but I just really don't think this gave me anything I haven't already seen before.

This was delightful and I found myself enjoying it far more than I anticipated
I liked this series a lot. Probably my favorite book of the series.
