This book is like a Hallmark movie: completely predictable, fairly cheesy fluff. It was in the “readers also enjoyed” recommendations for the Evie Dunmore books, and this is much simpler than those.
I have always loved the premise of this series along with that characters. But some of the execution did not work for me at all. This installment does much better with that though some things still make me want to move it down to a "it's good" 3 star rating. But it was a fun escape and the strongest one of the three I thought. They're all sweet.

Absolutely loved it! Such a great addition to the "Once Upon a Con" series. "Beauty and the Beast" is one of my favorite stories of all time, and I was so happy to see that Poston's modern retelling was so well done. My only problem with this book is the potential that it may be the last in the series, since I don't see any indication that there will be further stories coming... Please, say it isn't so!

Light reading, cute enough, full of clichés and with waaaay too many pop references.
I find myself relating to this book so much. Vance relatable situation of not loving yourself and trying to change is something I am currently struggling with. The book also has the theme of death floating around. I have became acquainted with death lately and reading this book has help me see death differently. I love this Ashley Poston ability to bring fairy tails into this world of geeks and nerds. I hope this is not the last book in the Once Upon a Con series. I love the beauty and the beast theme and Howl's moving castle reference. I really enjoyed it.
very cute but this series as a whole gets a solid 3 stars! it’s fun but I don’t think you NEED to read it!
