Cute addition to the series. Most of the characters were great, but the hate for and motivation from the Gaston character was never fully explained and didn’t make sense to me.
When I realized who the guy was in this book, I thought I was going to hate it. I almost stopped reading because I literally finished the princess and the fan girl yesterday, so I was still mad at how horrible Vance was to imogene/jess but I kept going and ended up loving it! This whole series is just so comfortable and fun!
wow I was bored and I didn't get the same feeling as the two others. Idk I was excepting something more and it didn't come up T-T. I'm so sad
I always enjoy these books. They are a fun and quick read and I was so excited to see this one would be based on Beauty and the Beast. Well there was a library and a grumpy guy but the similarities ended there. It wasn’t a terrible book but it wasn’t particularly memorable either.
I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher which did not affect my review.

Can Ashley Poston just keep writing these retellings? Cause I’ll read all of them and will love all of them. Bookish and the Beast was so damn cute. I love the nerdiness of these books. I loved this story! This is just the perfect love-to-hate romance for me. I so fucking loved it.
Vance and Rosie for the win!
I love how she plants the little elements that are her spin on the fairytales. This one as well was just so clever. It just works in a contemporary setting, whilst still being believable (okay and maybe very cheesy too. Oh and I loveeeeed all of the references to songs from the Disney movies!

I liked the final book in the trilogy the least. I had thought of it as a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. That's what drew me to the book.
When I first heard that the story was about Vance Reigns, a character we got to know in the second book, I almost didn't read it. He wasn't the kind of character I imagined would get his own story, redemption arc, or happy ending. I already disliked him from the previous book, and I felt there wasn't enough detail in this book to get a good sense of his character.
The other main character, Rosie, a teenager who loves the Starfield book series, accidentally destroys a priceless book and must work it off in the library where she also is in close proximity of Vance.
The story follows two young adults, from two different worlds, going from enemies to friends to more than friends? The story has some cliché young adult / romance tropes. Their relationship status also moved too quickly, not feeling genuine to me. I didn't think the romance had a good build-up or even a good friendship base to start with.
It's not really the best retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It also misses the "Once Upon a Con" part of the story. The fact that the story takes place in a small town, and only a very small part is about the con, is a bit disappointing. We saw some short moments with characters from the earlier books, but it felt forced and not real to me.
Overall, I didn't enjoy the story as much as I wanted to. I looked forward to a more book-nerd character, but it didn't deliver for me.

So incredibly sweet.
This isn't exactly a life-changing, need-to-tell-everyone kind of book, but it's sweet and as comforting as sitting in your favorite chair with a warm drink and a long book.
