I can't get into this. It feels very flat. I'm a little over half way and just don't feel like I need to or want to finish this. Perhaps I'll try the audio sometime.

This was such a quick read for me because the style was really engaging. I saw it described as part memoir part self help and I think that an apt description for this book. In my time I've read a few self help books about mental health, but this one is really just a story of the author's experiences with their own issues. However this really helped me to examine my own issues in a new light and take on some of her learning and reflections. I really appreciate how the author is really brave and vulnerable in showing her thoughts and feelings, she does not try to side step responsibility or sugar coat her darker emotions. In short, I thought this was a really refreshing read that tackles mental health issues in an engaging way. I definitely would recommend it!

At first I did think the writing style was cluncky and a bit curt, but I'm not sure how much of that can be attributed to the translation limitations. But I got used to this about halfway through.

I really resonated with a lot of Baek’s words but I didn’t really like the books structure. It was jarring to read and the post epilogue stuff was so unnecessary? It felt unedited. Too much stream of consciousness.
