it took me so long to finish this third book because i honestly just didn’t want to. i’ve honestly considered dnf-ing this series a few times throughout, but i’ve stuck with it through sheer determination.
i don’t mind the characters. i think the world building definitely has some interesting elements. i have found the plot quite intriguing, but i’ve just felt like it’s lacking overall. this third book especially felt quite slow for me. i’ll probably give this series another shot when the final book is released. hopefully that will change my mind, or at the very least i’ll read it for the conclusion.

Super cringe but I was still invested in the actual story. Definitely will read the next book because I’m still curious, even though I dont love the main characters

I like the installment but some of the explanations were overdone for my taste and I also cannot stand the use of the word "canted".
A bit shocked that as smart as they claim to be, all have seriously underestimated the King.
Maybe a little more prep would have gone a long way for the story and adding a bit more depth to the situation.
Still action packed and engaging. Good solid series.
